On May 26, 2022, Drew Michael Brant waived his preliminary hearing on charges of Drug Delivery Resulting in Death, Involuntary Manslaughter, Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, Criminal Use of a Communication Facility, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Brant remains in Cumberland County Prison on $75,000 secured bail.  It is alleged that on or about March 23, 2021, Brant sold Fentanyl to the victim in Silver Spring Township, Cumberland County. The victim then suffered from a drug overdose and died as a result of Acute Fentanyl Toxicity.  Sergeant Andrew Bassler of Silver Spring Township Police Department investigated and filed charges in the case. The preliminary hearing was handled by Senior Assistant District Attorney Jennifer Robinson; the defendant was represented by counsel.
