On September 9th, 2025, at approximately 3:28 pm, officers were dispatched to West Simpson Street and Weaver Alley for a crash which just occurred. Officers arrived and determined a vehicle travelling eastbound turned left onto Weaver Alley. While making the turn into the alley, an electric bicyclist was travelling west on the sidewalk on the north side of West Simpson Street. The bicyclist struck the turning vehicle and fell. The bicyclist left the scene after getting back on the bicycle without providing information to the other driver. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact the police department.
