On 10-17-2020 at approximately 2110 Newville Police conducted a traffic stop on a Chevy Equinox at 91 South High St. The operator was identified as Vincent Baloga (26) of Camp Hill. Also in the vehicle was a female passenger and a female child. Newville Police observed a strong odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. Additionally, the operator exhibited signs of impairment. Baloga denied having any controlled substances in the vehicle. Baloga was put through the SFST battery and as a result was taken into custody. A vehicle search was conducted where Officers discovered a backpack at the feet of the child passenger. The backpack was searched which led to the discovery of approximately 88 grams of multiple variations of marijuana and several baggies. Additionally, the search led to the discovery of $2,249 dollars in small bills and (16) 50mg Tramadol pills. All items were sent to Cumberland County Forensics for analysis. The toxicology reports were received this month and the report shows that Baloga's blood contained THC and Amphetamines.
