On Saturday May 8th, 2021, Newville Police conducted a traffic stop on a tractor and trailer for turning from West Main Street onto South High Street in Newville Borough. Upon approach to the driver Newville Police smelled the odor of marijuana. Newville Police also noticed signs of intoxication while talking with the driver. Field sobriety was conducted and the driver identified as Jamar Henderson from Michigan was taken into custody for suspicion of D.U.I. Henderson's toxicology report showed positive findings of Delta -9-Carboxy THC(ng/mL) >150 and Delta -9-THC (ng/mL) 6.4/-1.3.
Henderson was charged with Title 75 3802d1i Driving Under the influence of a schedule I controlled substance, Title 75 3802d Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol or Controlled Substance, Title 75 3710 Stopping at intersection or crossing to prevent obstruction and Title 75 4902b Restrictions on use of highways.
