On 06-02-2022 at approximately 1655 Newville Police were taking part in a "click it or ticket" detail within Newville Borough. It was around this time Police observed a blue Ford Focus at the intersection of North High St and East Main St. The vehicle was displaying an expired certificate of inspection. A traffic stop was conducted in the area of 9 Carlisle Road. The operator was identified as Jarrod Johnson (21) of Newville. Johnson displayed signs of impairment during the traffic stop and after questioning Johnson admitted to ingesting THC. A vehicle search was conducted with led to the discovery of drug/ drug paraphernalia. Johnson was put through the SFST battery and was subsequently taken into custody for possession and operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of a controlled substance. Additionally, it was discovered that Johnson did not possess a drivers license, insurance, or registration.  The Cumberland County Toxicology report showed that Johnson had in his blood 95 ng/mL of Delta 9 Carboxy and 14ng/mL of Delta 9 THC.
