On November 26th, 2019 at 1859hrs Newville Police observed a silver Toyota Camry speeding on South High Street. Newville Police conducted a traffic stop and the driver was identified as TAYLOR RAIN LANDIS (18) of Harrisburg by her PA drivers license. Upon approach, an odor of marijuana was detected coming from the subject vehicle. LANDIS' eyes were observed to be blood shot and glassy. While conversing with LANDIS an odor of marijuana emanated from her breath. 

LANDIS was provided standard field sobriety which she failed. LANDIS was taken into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence. Upon search of the vehicle, drug paraphernalia and a small amount of marijuana was found in the vehicle. LANDIS was transported to UPMC Carlisle for a legal blood draw. 

Newville Police recently received the results from the blood test which showed positive results of 11-Hydroxy Delta-9 THC 6.0ng/mL, Delta-9 Carboxy THC 170ng/mL and Delta-9 THC 19ng/mL.
